Bible Study

This course offers a comparative examination of the Bible from an Islamic perspective, with an emphasis on its historical development, core teachings, and points of convergence and divergence with the Qur’an. Students will explore the Old and New Testaments in light of the Qur’an, paying particular attention to the shared narratives of prophets, moral lessons, and divine wisdom that unite the Abrahamic tradition.

Through a respectful yet critical approach, students will learn how the Qur’an engages with Biblical texts, and how its insights can enrich interfaith understanding and dialogue today. The course highlights the Qur’an’s role as a criterion (al-furqān) for truth, guiding believers in discerning authentic revelation while appreciating the depth of previous scriptures.
